FAQ

My child is not familiar with an iPad environment or iCloud computing. How much training will they receive?  Will this be done in timetabled lessons?

Students will undergo an orienttation day first day back to become familiar with the iPad and some school apps. Technology is also integrated across the curriculum. Students will be learning how to utilise the device in a wide range of classes. There would be an expectation that students also take the time to check out the Tips section of this website. Learning by exploring is the best way improve your knowledge and skills.

I have heard about the possibility of insuring the iPad. What is the cost? What does it cover? Where is it available from?

It is possible to ensure an iPad. Costs and cover vary according to the provider.  Each family will need to determine whether they consider insurance a worthwhile option. We believe a sturdy protective case is the best insurance against accidental damage. If you are considering insurance, you would be well advised to look into Apple's extended warranty called Apple Care +. Refer to the Tips page of this site for more details and links.

I understand that many student texts are now becoming electronic and are licensed on a yearly basis.  Do we have to pay for the licences or will the school meet that cost?

We anticipate that the school will continue to meet the cost of textbooks, digital or otherwise.

Problem solvers

It is often stated many careers that students entering high school will pursue in their working life do not exist yet! Our students need to be independant learners and problem solvers to cope with the many challenges ahead.

Adaptability

The only constant in life is change. This is especially true in education. Those who can adapt to a changing environment, whether that be school, work or leisure, will be best equipped to lead a fulfilling life,
